Drawn by a sense of the rich
history held within the classic buildings left from the early plantation days, James found a sense
of peace and serenity in the lovely Hanapepe Valley.
Lush, with cane and taro
fields, this area was the home of the old McBride sugar plantation. |
The last of the buildings
was torn down in 1994, but James has brought the warmth of memory back to life as a tin-roofed
plantation home, surrounded by fiery sprays of red bougainvillea, tones of gold, and the verdant
greens of the foliage on the valley floor. |
